Module 1: Introduction to Taking Control - Saturday, May 30, 2009, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
What You Will Take Away
- Awareness of resources and support you can get through this five-module series and through the community
- A personal plan for how you can use this five-module series to make progress toward your personal and professional goals
- Knowledge of how change and stress affect us individually and in groups and ideas for how you can make healthy responses to stress you may be experiencing
- Personalized checklists of skills and abilities you can start using to build your ‘Master Application’ or resume
- A personalized 30-second ‘ME’ answer to, “Tell me about yourself and what kind of job you’re seeking.”

Module 2: Strategic Planning For Life - Saturday, June 6, 2009, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
What You Will Take Away
- Clarification of your own personal and professional goals, values, priorities, and vision.
- Decision support tools to help you make key life decisions around job or career change, educational or training goals, or ‘detours’ in your career/life path.
- An action plan for taking steps to align your vision for yourself with the steps you will take in the next months or years.
- Support and ideas from like-minded others who want to answer these questions for themselves:
- Who am I?
- Where am I now?
- Where do I want to be?
- How will I get there?

- Advice from an individual coach in the Strategic Planning for Life Clinic to help you create or add to your life plan.
- A specific assignment for moving forward on your resume, master application, and/or strategic life plan.
