The focus is on listening to one’s own voice and remembering the value of staying tuned to that voice, in spite of the many other “voices” clamoring for our attention (others’ needs, image, status, criticism, fears, and so on). Enneagram Foundation Workshop The Enneagram is an ancient and powerful study of human personality that helps us understand the central themes in our own and others’ lives that influence our behavior patterns. This personality system explores why people think, feel and act as they do by examining our habits of attention, our patterns of attention, what we avoid, and how we behave in both stressful and secure circumstances. During this workshop, participants identify which of nine types they believe they are and listen to people who are examples of those types talk about the motivations and perceptions of the type. |

Movement Meditation Movement meditation is using music, movement, and attention to experience awareness in the body, presence in feelings, and connection to self, others, and spirit. We will be performing simple, everyday movements that engage our full attention and bring about a meditative state. Our goal is to instill in ourselves a sense of deep curiosity and true inquiry into the nature of attention and relaxation, effort and receptivity, and mindfulness and joy. No special abilities or previous experience is necessary – just an interest in opening oneself to the present moment and to the pleasure of movement and music. |
